Back in early May me and my boyfriend went to Berlin for German Fetish Ball Weekend. This was our second time there as we really enjoyed the experience last year, and while we had planned to go to more parties and events we actually spend a lot of time just enjoying the city. We did go to the ball on Saturday though and of course the fetish fair, these were our main priorities after all.
I love going to fashion fairs and flea markets, it’s so much fun to go around, browse everything and chat with a designer or two (although I’m horribly shy and very bad at representing my model self). And of course I always come away with something nice ^^
This time was no different, although I wish I had taken the chance to get something more (don’t you always?).
Anyways, my treasures this year was a beautiful harness inspired top from Pandora Deluxe’s latest collection and an order for a dress from Catriona Stewart Clothing. A few weeks ago that dress arrived and here it is! It’s an absolute dream made of electric lilac latex ❤
It’s the girliest piece of fetish clothing I will probably ever own but I love it to bits 🙂 And I will be doing a shoot with it soon which will be so much fun!
I don’t normally do this but I’d like to ask for your help. You see, I’m part of the latex model competition hosted by designer Simon O. and there’s a chance of winning some really lovely latex, including a custom made catsuit!
But to be able to win something I have to be in the Top 12 when voting ends June 4th.
One of my favourites Internet stores has decided to close up shop, so I decided I wanted to say “Thank you for all these years” by ordering one last pair of shoes from them :3 It just so happened that I had been staring (and probably drooling) over one particular pair. They’re a little higher than I’m used to, but I don’t think that should be much of a problem. I mean, when you’ve got badass heels like this you learn to use them quite quickly ^^
Aren’t they lovely? ❤ I can’t wait for them to arrive so I can use them in a shoot ^^
Last week my latest order from Westward Bound arrived, the lovely Sucre-Bomb Dress ❤ I got it in red and white and it’s so pretty! It fits really good too 🙂 I’m really looking forward to plan a proper shoot for it.
Westward Bound is one of the latex designers I would love to do a proper collaboration with, that’s been on my bucket list for years now. But until that time comes, I will keep on buying the things I like and create some creative shoots with them ^^ Hopefully, one day..
Anyways, a little sneak peek of the pretty thing ^^
Oh yes, these darlings love their Giveaways! And this time more prizes are up for grabs, gift vouchers of $50, $100 and $150 – pretty nice Christmas presents for a corset lover, I must say ^^
What I would choose if I would win? A corset, of course ^^ My favourite Vanyanís corset is the one I first laid eyes on: the Morgana. I’d have it in decadent red though, with black lace overlay ❤ Maybe not as elaborate as the original, but I’ve always wanted lace overlay on a corset and this is one of the best I’ve seen so far. I’d exchange the crystals for something a little darker too, maybe a bunch of tiny silver skulls.
The 1st of October Black Milk Clothing released their Halloween collection. I was pretty interested in it since I had heard rumours about there being pieces with Corpse Bride print. I love Tim Burton and Corpse Bride is one of my favourite movies. Ever. Imagine my happiness when they published the list of all prints and styles to be released and I saw “Corpse Bride leggings”!
Naturally, I had to have them.
While going through all the sneak peeks there was another item that caught my eyes. The Dead Cat leggings, with a print of a cat skeleton patterned in a kaleidoscopic kind of way. Every time I looked at them I just seemed to want them more. The only catch was they were a 48H special, which meant they were only going to be on sale for 48 hours. Did I have money for them?
Yes, I did.
My new babies and I don’t regret a thing! I was never much for leggings on nylon before, but once I got my hands on my first pair (the Cthulhu leggings), I was stuck. Now I got three pairs and I’m very happy indeed ^^
Vanyanís are so adorable! Not long ago they had a Giveaway where you could win a beautiful necklace, and now they’re holding another one! This time it’s to celebrate 1500 Likes on Facebook – which they really deserve and I hope they get a lot more 🙂 If you take part in the Giveaway you will be able to win a $150 AUD voucher to use towards a custom garment.
If you don’t know about Vanyanís yet, you really should check out their website, Vanyanis.net. So many gorgeous things to be found!
As you can probably guess from the title, I’m a bit of a Lovecraft/Cthulhu/octopus/tentacles freak 😛 I collect everything related that strikes my fancy, and this week two new items arrived for my collection.
First of all, I got these lovely Cthulhu leggings from Black Milk Clothing ❤ I’m a bit sad though that they don’t make the matching dress anymore, but one of these days I will get my hands on one!
The second thing that arrived with the post was this beautiful necklace from The Crypt of Curiosities ❤ I’ve been drooling over it for weeks and once I saw that there was only one left.. Well, I just couldn’t resist 😉 Besides, it’s the last one she will probably ever make and I’m so happy to own it 🙂
I need to plan shoots with them both soon! I’ve already got an idea for the leggings, the necklace will require something ocean blue or green. Maybe something in latex, I haven’t quite decided yet..
The lovely and incredibly talented lady over at Vanyanís is holding a giveaway where you can win a gorgeous necklace! There are several ways to enter so you’ll be given a fair chance 🙂
I love these kind of necklaces, they’re so stylish and elegant. And I can use them to practically any outfit! But my favourite kind of outfit to use it for would probably be a classy long latex skirt pair with a somewhat elaborate black overbust corset. Then the necklace would really pop and it’s glory would show off perfectly.
And by the way, you should all go and visit her website for more lovely creations 🙂
Things are pretty slow at work right now so I’m allowing my brain to relax a bit and feel creative. Funnily enough though, I’m feeling more creative when it comes to cooking and creating recipes right now than when it comes to photoshoots. I guess it’s because I’ve gotten so many wonderful ideas these past months that I need to get them out of my system before I can come up with new ones. Soon I hope to tick some of the boxes though, since I’m waiting for an outfit and some jewellery to arrive. And I’ve also got some accessories that needs shooting.
I’m really looking forward to set some dates with photographers 🙂
But speaking of outfits, I payed a visit to my corset maker, Viola Lahger, yesterday to discuss a new baby. We decided on a model and the embellishments, but we were left with that difficult question of colours. I know I want soft pastels contrasting to each other, but after that I’m stuck. So we decided that she would go fabric hunting for me and I gave her a list of colours that I like ^^ I’m confident this new piece will be wonderful and I can’t wait to shoot it in the fall 🙂
And while we’re on the subject of corsets, I afterwards met up with a friend to go to a local Victorian picnic. It was great to meet so many wonderful people in gorgeous outfits, eat cakes and talk about everything and nothing. I was happy to see so many wearing lovely corsets, even though it did make me cry a bit inside to see some younger girl wear theirs not only upside down but backwards too.. I can understand that one might put on an underbust upside down – hell, I’ve done that myself a few times when not looking properly! But overbust styles? I’m sorry, but that’s really beyond me..
Anyway, I had planned for a truly epic outfit with my steampunk corset, but I ran out of time and couldn’t finish it. My plan B failed due to extreme heat, so in the end I settled for a nice basic summer goth outfit with one of my favourite corsets.
