Steampunk Sneak Peeks

I know I’ve been neglecting this blog quite a bit but time has moved so fast these past couple of months so I guess I just forgot I had it. I also haven’t been shooting a lot so there haven’t been much of that to write about. Early this year I made an active decision to cut beck on modelling for several reasons. Partly because I don’t feel I have enough time for it since I work during the week and only have time to shoot on weekends (when I also might want to do other things, like spend time with my love and my friends), and partly because I want to dedicate more time to shoot ideas that I have been working on for a while. It’s time to cross off that To Do list. And if that means shooting less in favour of creating great shoots, then so be it.

To be honest, it’s the best decision I’ve made so far. I love the process of creating a shoot and I want to fell that I’ve put enough time and energy in all of them, not just some. I’m less stressed now, it’s easier for me to get into the right mood and flow during a shoot and I feel very happy with the outcome.

In late March I had my first shoot in five months and it was with the lovely Carmilla who was here for the weekend. We had decided early on to something more fantasy inspired and later agreed to “throw in” some latex as well. I had a couple of ideas for both that had been brewing in my mind for a long time and now I could finally realise them in front of the camera! I love how both sets turned out, there were some true top notch images in both of them. Im still working on accepting the fact that my body looks different now than when I started six years ago, but hey, that’s what genetics, age and a feeling of being stable and happy in life can do ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyways, here are some selfies and sneak peeks for you!

Lights Under the Sea

If it’s something love it’s working on supercreative shoots! The whole process of planning the theme for months, working out the outfit, styling, makeup and what props to use.. It’s what keeps my creative juices flowing ๐Ÿ™‚

Early last year me and the lady behind Imperial Fiddlesticks Emporium started discussing doing an ocean goddess themed shoot, based on a gorgeous mermaid themed top hat she had made me previously. We got a lovely makeup artist on board and Katiekat agreed to stand behind the camera.
This is the final result!

Alice in the Dark

Early in December last year, I had another shoot with the lovely Kitty Carol. This time we did something a bit different. Instead of just going with a badass outfit, we focused on doing some creative portraits – with different accessories. We did two different styles and the result was awesome! I can’t wait to see the the finished result of the second look, it was so much fun to go out of my “styling box” and something completely new ๐Ÿ™‚

With that said, I love this first look as well. I feel like a combined Alice in Wonderland-burlesque lady-19th century vampire ^^

Latex Wonderland Shoot

Finally I can show off this photo set! I shot it in April, but since it was due for a publication I’ve had to hold them back from view. But now the magazine is out (tear sheet will be published soon!) and so now I can show them to the world. I’m really happy how they turned out and I hope you all feel they’ve been worth the wait ๐Ÿ™‚

Steampunk Fairytale

Last Sunday I had a shoot with the very talented Kitty Carol. We’ve been trying to schedule a shoot since last October and finally we could make our schedules work!

I had my lovely green corset that I bought from my friend Tea Time and I thought that a combined steampunk/fairytale theme would be perfect for it. And I’m so happy with what we created ^^

These are the first twp photos, more will come soon enough ๐Ÿ™‚

Winter Fairytale Teaser

A couple of weeks ago I spent some time with the darling KT Twisted Photography to get some nice winter pictures taken. I had a lovely vintage dress that I’ve wanted to shoot for a long time and now it finally happened! It was cold and windy as hell, but it was all so beautiful with the snow falling softly.

Here’s a little teaser of the result ๐Ÿ™‚

Winter Imperial

So, after this post is done I have shown you all the full sets from photoshoots I’ve done from 2011 until today. After that I’ve only got a couple of early shoots left, but I think I’ll hold on to them for a little while more ๐Ÿ˜‰ There are still som funky ideas to be shot and I’m waiting for the pics from my latest shoot, so hopefully you won’t have to wait for too long before you see something new. Until then I’ll have to amuse you with philosophical rambles and everyday photos ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyways, this photoshoot was one I’d been thinking about for a little while. I made the dress for Christmas 2009 and since then I had wanted to do something really creative with it. A year later I got to know the awesome designer behind Imperial Fiddlesticks Emporium and I gave her the task of making a matching hat for the dress. The end result was gorgeous! This winter I dragged Josefine Jรถnsson out in the snow to shoot it with me ^^ It turned out a bit etherial and winter fairytale-like, just how I had envisioned it.

Red Alice Sneak Peek

Recieved the finished result of my latest photoshoot with Josefine Jonsson Photography & Retouch and it looks absolutely amazing! The fairytale geek in me is more than happy and now I’m looking forward to do more shoots on this theme. Hopefully I’ll get the chance during the summer and autumn ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, here’s a little sneak peek. More will be uploaded on my Facebook Page (link on the right!)
