As you can probably guess from the title, I’m a bit of a Lovecraft/Cthulhu/octopus/tentacles freak 😛 I collect everything related that strikes my fancy, and this week two new items arrived for my collection.
First of all, I got these lovely Cthulhu leggings from Black Milk Clothing ❤ I’m a bit sad though that they don’t make the matching dress anymore, but one of these days I will get my hands on one!
The second thing that arrived with the post was this beautiful necklace from The Crypt of Curiosities ❤ I’ve been drooling over it for weeks and once I saw that there was only one left.. Well, I just couldn’t resist 😉 Besides, it’s the last one she will probably ever make and I’m so happy to own it 🙂
I need to plan shoots with them both soon! I’ve already got an idea for the leggings, the necklace will require something ocean blue or green. Maybe something in latex, I haven’t quite decided yet..
The lovely and incredibly talented lady over at Vanyanís is holding a giveaway where you can win a gorgeous necklace! There are several ways to enter so you’ll be given a fair chance 🙂
I love these kind of necklaces, they’re so stylish and elegant. And I can use them to practically any outfit! But my favourite kind of outfit to use it for would probably be a classy long latex skirt pair with a somewhat elaborate black overbust corset. Then the necklace would really pop and it’s glory would show off perfectly.
And by the way, you should all go and visit her website for more lovely creations 🙂
My decision to take a break from modelling seems to have been a pretty good one. I don’t feel so stressed and can focus completely on my studies. Also, I’m feeling more creative. I keep getting new ideas, and hints to ideas, that I want to do. That was one thing that I was missing, the feeling of being really creative and the desire to create art.
The funny thing is, I started to feel creative when I got my latest corset – the dark green overbust that I bought from Tea Time. And I felt it again when I got my latest treasure, a beautiful necklace made from a vintage syringe.
And the lovely summery weather might also have something to do with it. Now I can finally do some proper location shoots, and I’ve missed that a lot 🙂
I will stay on my break until June 15th, after that I will only be shooting on weekends since I will be working full time. But I already have a few things planned ^^
Let’s end this post with a couple of pics of my inspiring treasures!
I took a break from studying this Sunday to drag my honey Mashiara to the local burlesque fair. I can’t really call it a flea market anymore, which is what it originally was, since there are so many designers and shops selling there now as well as private people.
There were soooo many people! It’s amazing to see how much it has grown in only a couple of years! And of course I found loads of things that I wanted :3 But I had set a budget so I couldn’t afford everything..
But I had called dibs on a corset a friend of mine was selling and that one took most of my money. It’s a beauty though so I can’t complain ^^
I also found a necklace consisting of a small glass flask filled with pieces of real gold, salvaged from old computers and cell phones. Now that’s steampunk!
