Kultur Mag Steampunk Feature

Well, hello there! I see it’s been quite a while since I posted something on this blog and, well, I have no other excuses than that I have been more busy with my job and everyday life than anything creative really. And that means I haven’t had anything to write about (and no, I’m not going to turn this into an everyday blog).

I realised the other day, though, that I had forgot to post about my latest publication! A couple of months ago I was published in Kultur Mag’s steampunk issue with s couple of sets that I shot with Carmilla earlier this year. I love this set so much, it’s one of the best I’ve ever done!

Steampunk Sneak Peeks

I know I’ve been neglecting this blog quite a bit but time has moved so fast these past couple of months so I guess I just forgot I had it. I also haven’t been shooting a lot so there haven’t been much of that to write about. Early this year I made an active decision to cut beck on modelling for several reasons. Partly because I don’t feel I have enough time for it since I work during the week and only have time to shoot on weekends (when I also might want to do other things, like spend time with my love and my friends), and partly because I want to dedicate more time to shoot ideas that I have been working on for a while. It’s time to cross off that To Do list. And if that means shooting less in favour of creating great shoots, then so be it.

To be honest, it’s the best decision I’ve made so far. I love the process of creating a shoot and I want to fell that I’ve put enough time and energy in all of them, not just some. I’m less stressed now, it’s easier for me to get into the right mood and flow during a shoot and I feel very happy with the outcome.

In late March I had my first shoot in five months and it was with the lovely Carmilla who was here for the weekend. We had decided early on to something more fantasy inspired and later agreed to “throw in” some latex as well. I had a couple of ideas for both that had been brewing in my mind for a long time and now I could finally realise them in front of the camera! I love how both sets turned out, there were some true top notch images in both of them. Im still working on accepting the fact that my body looks different now than when I started six years ago, but hey, that’s what genetics, age and a feeling of being stable and happy in life can do πŸ˜›

Anyways, here are some selfies and sneak peeks for you!

Published in Xpressions Magazine

Earlier this year I got together with some of my favourite partners in crime and created an amazing steampunk shoot. We had worked a long time on getting the outfits and details right and I had sorted out a great location.

A couple of weeks ago we found out that our efforts had payed off and we were getting two of the shots published in Xpressions Magazine. I am so happy and so proud of the entire team who made this happen and the pictures turned out perfect πŸ™‚

Interview in Carpe Nocturne Magazine Summer 2015

Earlier this spring I was contacted by a fellow WordPress blogger, Asylum Attendant, about doing an interview for the magazine he’s working at. The overall theme of the issue in question was going to be steampunk, one of my favourite genres, and of course I couldn’t say no πŸ™‚
I love doing interviews and this was such a fun one to do as I got some questions I’ve never received before. The issue was out in July and the editor was sweet enough to agree on sending me a free copy (thank you so much, I really appreciated it! ^^)

Alice in the Dark

Early in December last year, I had another shoot with the lovely Kitty Carol. This time we did something a bit different. Instead of just going with a badass outfit, we focused on doing some creative portraits – with different accessories. We did two different styles and the result was awesome! I can’t wait to see the the finished result of the second look, it was so much fun to go out of my “styling box” and something completely new πŸ™‚

With that said, I love this first look as well. I feel like a combined Alice in Wonderland-burlesque lady-19th century vampire ^^

Moving Ahead of Time

Yep, I think that title says it all. My mind is currently racing like mad. There’s so many things that needs to be done before Christmas and yet I feel like I’ve hardly started with anything. Mentally I’m at the weekend before Christmas, some time between Christmas and New Years, while having my usual home exam panic in early January. I’m nowhere near where I actually AM, December 2nd, with still some time left to fix everything that needs to be done and figure out alternative plans for the things that won’t work.

I think my stress comes from the fact that I’m busy pretty much every day up until the weekend before Christmas. That’s my stop, that’s where this insane train will come to a halt and will start to enjoy the Holidays. My schedule consists of this: work at the internship, attend lectures, work on the home exams, study, shoot fun photoshoots, buy Christmas gifts, make candy, plan for food making, look for Christmas decorations and at least attempt to be creative at some other point.

Ugh, if I did an insanity check right now, the levels would be sky high it feels >_<

But hey, here’s a pretty picture at least ^^ I need to assemble all the photos from this shoot in a single post soon!

Lady of Time – Part 1

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I got myself a new header for this blog a little while ago. And yesterday it hit me, I haven’t shown you that photo properly. Nor have I shown you the second photo from that same shoot. Well, that can easily be fixed ^^
Originally I had planned to wait to publish that set here until I get all the finished pics. But since I don’t know when that will be, I’ll just divide it all into parts again.

So, here are the first two photos from my latest shoot with Belinda Bartzner ❀

Steampunk Photo Adventures

Last Saturday the lovely photographer Belinda Bartzner came up to Stockholm again. As soon as I heard she was coming I knew I had to shoot with her again, everything turned out so good the last time! To my happiness she wanted to shoot with me as well πŸ™‚ After some discussions we decided to try on something new: steampunk.

I have done shoots that were steampunk inspired, but this time we wanted something more.. well, proper. That meant no latex. Instead I spent an entire week sewing, dyeing and gluing together a good looking outfit as well as accessories. The only thing I didn’t make or alter was the corset, my pride and joy from Viola Lahger πŸ˜›

Anyway, our luck had it that it was a day with rain on and off, but we still managed to time it perfectly when it was clearing up a bit. And it was so much fun! As it always is when we’re shooting together ^^ And the results looked so awesome in the camera! I can’t wait to receive the finished results πŸ™‚

Until then, here’s a little sneak peek πŸ™‚
